About LocalDoc
Our Core Privacy Mandate
- Zero Cloud Uploads: Every tool executes strictly inside your browser's private WebAssembly & RAM memory space.
- No Data Harvesting: Your confidential contracts, tax returns, and biometric photos are never transmitted over the internet.
- Unlimited Free Access: Because processing runs on your local CPU/GPU, there are no expensive server bills, allowing us to keep all 20 tools completely free forever.
The Problem with Cloud PDF Services
For over a decade, internet users have been conditioned to upload sensitive personal files—legal contracts, medical reports, tax filings, and biometric identity card photos—to remote cloud servers simply to compress a file, merge two pages, or crop a passport photo.
Once uploaded to a remote server, users have zero guarantee of when or if their data will be permanently deleted, whether it will be used to train AI models, or if it will be exposed in server data breaches.
The LocalDoc Paradigm: Client-Side WebAssembly Architecture
LocalDoc was founded by Amaad Mazari to challenge this outdated, insecure paradigm. By leveraging modern browser innovations—including WebAssembly, Web Workers, HTML5 Canvas, and client-side cryptography—LocalDoc compiles the full capability of enterprise desktop software directly into the browser tab.
| Feature / Capability | Traditional Cloud Converters | LocalDoc Client-Side Architecture |
|---|---|---|
| File Upload to Remote Server | Required (100% of files transmitted) | Zero Upload (0 Bytes Outbound) |
| Data Privacy & Compliance | Risk of third-party logging & retention | Mathematically Guaranteed Private |
| Offline / Air-Gapped Mode | Impossible (fails without internet) | 100% Functional via PWA Offline Cache |
| File Size & Conversion Limits | Restricted by paywalls and subscriptions | Unlimited Files (Powered by Your Hardware) |
